#FoodStarsAtUptownMall: Movie Night Upgrade at Uptown Cinemas, Uptown Mall, Taguig, Philippines

We knew that the battle between Batman & Superman (Dawn of Justice) had to be watched at some place special. Heard of this new mall that offers state-of-the-art surround sound & uncrowded viewing.

Welcome to Uptown Mall, a new mall venture by Megaworld which promises luxe viewing pleasures with their upscale cinemas.

We were there for their VIP cinema (Php 520) which offers reclining couple chairs plus unlimited popcorn & soda at a push of the button; but was sadly unavailable due to a block screening. We ended up with Cinema 1 which offered Dolby Atmos Sound with free medium-sized popcorn (Php 320).

#FoodStarsBanaweEats: Eat Fresh Hong Kong Famous Street Food, Quezon City, Philippines

When searching for somewhere to eat in Banawe, don't miss out on trying this no-fuss restaurant that serves up Hong Kong street food.

Our first foray to Street Food Eating was a yummy experience so there were high hopes that the same would happen here.

Eat Fresh's Claypot dishes has been getting rave reviews online but unfortunately, we were practicing #NoMeatFridays. After looking through their menu, we decided to have a seafood feast! ;p

#FoodStarsAtLittleTokyo: Urameshiya Yakiniku Restaurant, Makati City, Philippines

For our unlimited yakiniku cravings, we've always drove out to our favorite place. Imagine our surprise when we learned about this restaurant right within our neighborhood.

Welcome to Urameshiya at Little Tokyo, Makati. Open from 5pm-2am and accepts no reservations, coming early is a must. With roughly about 8-9 tables inside, you can just imagine the mile-long wait list they have to contend with everyday. Food-Stars Tip? Best time to come is 4:20pm and patiently wait at their al fresco area. This at least assures you being part of the first batch of diners.

A snapshot of their display area before the buffet chaos starts. Trays & trays of pork, chicken, beef & seafood are laid out for choosing. Here's how it works at Urameshiya, after being seated, your server will escort you to this area wherein you'll point & choose your food. Food-Stars Tip? Don't be shy to ask for generous servings of your favorites. Also, don't fall into the trap of trying out "new food", stick to the prime selections (Wagyu Cubes, Scallops and if you're lucky, Oysters).

Done with choosing? Head on back to your seat and wait as they come out with your charcoal grill. Here's where the fun part begins. At Urameshiya, they have 1 cardinal rule: Cooking & Eating time is for 45 minutes only. Yup, you've read that right. I heard that they've taken it as far as to provide you with charcoals that lasts for 45 minutes only. Talk about exact timing.

For every person that avails their buffet, each gets unlimited salad, miso soup and rice.

To make eating more fun, ask your server to mix the sauces for you. Ours was able to come up with just the right amount of sweet & spicy dip that compliments the meats well.

Post Workout Meal at Wildflour Cafe and Bakery, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Philippines

After our colorful morning of running, we were in need of our post-workout meal. At 8 in the morning, food choices were certainly limited. Wildflour immediately popped into mind. Opens early and falls into my list of to-try places; it's like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone.

Airy & cool, it was just what we needed after our morning run. It seemed that we were still early for the morning crowd, we easily got a table.

Their menu is simple; a one-paged long bond paper devoid of pictures, drawings and color. It seems that we were in for some no-fuss eating which I gladly welcomed. I was in the mood for something light while the 2 boys were in for something heavier.

I'm all for everyone eating at the same time so it's a plus for me when Wildflour served our dishes all at once. Another thing that made me like them more? All our dishes looked pretty. ;) Everything looked well put together and mouthwatering. I couldn't wait to dig in.

Aside from the running part, they promised a colorful ending for all participants. Well that sounded intriguing enough to try. They offer 2 ways to register, either thru online or thru their registration booths located at SM Mall of Asia. I was able to try both ways & the only difference is you get a Prepaid card when you register at the booths.

Which I actually liked because it acts as an additional souvenir at no extra cost. Registration fee is Php 950 for 3k, 5k & 10k.

You know it's no ordinary fun run when your race kit includes the following...
