Soup Blast at Shabu Yaki, Macapagal

** This is actually a late post. **

Our first choice for lunch was 1970 Yakiniku Grill, unfortunately someone mistakenly told us that this was their other branch.

And that's how we came to eat lunch at Shabuyaki.

At 12nn, no one was eating. This was a pretty bad sign for any restaurant. This was a risky undertaking; but the heavy rain outside & growling tummies inside were enough reasons to stay & try. Let's see how Shabuyaki's wares fared...

Lunch-ing Out at Chef Laudico Bistro Filipino, BGC

With the blistering sun on our backs, we drove to Chef Laudico's Bistro Filipino for lunch. We were in the mood for Filipino cuisine & we couldn't wait to taste Laudico's creations.

As you enter, you'll see these HUGE centerpieces. Bistro Filipino was favoring interiors that were massive in size.

Jap-ed Up at Kimpura, Greenbelt 5

This particular Sunday was filled with Japanese treats. First, a lunch out at Omakase Ayala Triangle (with our usual fare of Maki, Teppan, Salad & Rice), then a dinner run at Greenbelt 5's Kimpura.

With tired soles (fresh from Fully Booked shopping spree), we plopped down on their comfy chairs.

Mint green napkin adorned every plate. There was also a starter of dried fish (dilis) & veggies. Their table for 4 was a bit cramped, we had to resort to fast eating so that the dishes would fit. 

Three's A Company at Torch, Greenhills

We were supposed to meet at 1pm for a late lunch... what happened was a "lunner" instead (it's a combination of lunch & dinner, sorta like "brunch").  After fetching Jo, we arrived at Torch Greenhills by 3:30pm, all hungry & harassed. 

Hmmm... I wonder what that piece of paper is hiding....
