Hiding inside the streets of Makati was this quaint bar restaurant. Smaller than expected, the ground floor was a bit cramped for my liking. The evening crowd was of people who just got off from work & just wanted to relax, unwind before going home.

Arrived at around 8pm and people were starting to trickle in. Soon enough, the place was packed to the rafters. With the music playing in the background & chatter from the other tables, we were ready to order.

Drink for the night was beer. Hubby couldn't choose & requested samplers of each. The left one was apple, which left a bad taste in his mouth. Same goes with the Caramel. Both drink did smell as advertised but didn't have any flavor whatsoever. The winner of the night was cucumber. Yes, they serve Cucumber Beer here and it got a thumbs up from him. ;P

They don't call this Big Ass for nothing! Hubby got his Cucumber Beer served in the Big Ass glass which by the looks alone is enough to intimidate anyone. This housed 3-4 bottles of beer. Reminded me of Big Carl (Cougar Town reference). ;)

Wanted more fries & no veggies, our server happily obliged. Rue Bourbon's Roast Beef was a tad overcooked. Serving size was for one person. FS Recommendation? Ask for more demi glace sauce.

Their ribs is served with mashed potato & veggies. FS Verdict? This was surprisingly good. The meat was tender & easily slides off the bone. Flavored just right; this is definitely one dish we'll be coming back for. Nice one Rue Bourbon! ;9

| Buffalo Chicken Fingers (Php 290) |
The appetizer came out longer than expect, we were halfway with our entrees. With its orange tinge, I was waiting for the tangy flavor but alas, Rue Bourbon's version was lacking. Even the crunch factor was missing. Not your best Rue Bourbon :(
