Dusit Thani Manila houses several restaurants. Our current favorite is Basix wherein you can load up on their yum-tastic lamb, baked oysters and creamy pastas. But this particular Sunday, we were having Thai for dinner.
Welcome to Benjarong, another Dusit Thani food stop.

Pad Thai Gung Sod (Php 465) |
To start off, we got the Pad Thai Gung Sod. You can taste all the components; the stir-fried noodles, beansprouts & prawns. You have to eat this hot. FS Verdict? This was a really tasty dish. The serving though was a bit smaller than expected.

Yam Som O (Php 295) |
Pomelo Salad also made an appearance. The juicy pomelo plus the walnuts & the pickled sauce was a nice combination. FS Suggestion? You just really have to dig in to get the sauce.

Another dish I liked was the Chicken Pandan. The chicken was tender and flavorful & cooked just right. The sauce was the prefect complement to the dish.

Khao Phad Sapparod (Php 315) |
This Pineapple Fried Rice though was a miss.

Gaeng Phed Pet Yang (Php 450) |
Roasted Duck in Red Curry Sauce was another dish we had that night. Interesting flavors but wasn't a fan. Still a beef & chicken curry kinda gal.

Kor Moo Yang Jim Jaew (Php 280) |
Grilled Pork Neck with Sweet & Chili Sauce; this was definitely something new. I'm not exactly sure how pork necks should taste like but I kinda like this. The pork was tender & the chili sauce was spicy just right.
A single serving of soup was also ordered. Doesn't the bowl look precious? :)
Under this flower cone was Benjarong's plain rice. Again, loved the presentation.
