A Night of Color at Sip and Gogh, Paint and Sip Studio Quezon City, Philippines

For this particular Saturday, we took a break from our usual Mystery Night & decided to try something new. A night of painting while enjoying a glass of wine sounds like just the thing. 

Welcome to Sip & Gogh. 

We wanted to put our artistic skills to the test & Starry Starry Night by Van Gogh promises to do just that. 

1 Snack Platter per couple

Sip & Gogh offers sessions that caters for both newbies (like us) & those who already dabbled in art. Different (brush)strokes for different folks! ;)

For tonight, we registered for their Date2Create event.

It's collaborative painting, perfect for couples. Cute right? ;)
It can get a bit overwhelming at the beginning especially when the artist in front tells you to do a rough sketch of the sample painting. Just remember to breathe & have fun. There's no right or wrong here. 

 

And if you do get lost a bit with the instructions of mixing the colors, what to draw next or just need to clarify something, don't be scared to ask for help. They're always ready to assist you. There's no shortage on paints either since they give you more if needed. 

A session takes about 2-2 1/2 hours. I actually used up the allotted 3 hours because I kept on retouching & covering up my mistakes. You can see how far along Hubby's painting was compared to mine. ;p Food-Stars Tip? In between the sets of instructions, do remember to stretch your fingers. It gets a bit stiff after all that painting.

Our Sip & Gogh experience was such fun. For Php 2,200/couple you get 1 glass of wine each (either red or white; sodas for the non-alcoholics) & a snack platter for sharing which includes 2 types of cheeses,, 2 types of crackers, slices of salami & grapes. Oh and of course you get to take home your priceless art piece ;)

** One suggestion though, it would be better if they provide new sets of brushes (both thick & fine) for each session. Some of the bristles are already so stiff that it's hard to maneuver when painting. **
