Thursday was Wine Day.
We were running a bit late to Marks & Spencer's Wine Tasting at Greenbelt last February 7, 2013.
Marks & Spencer, Greenbelt 5 |
By the time we got there, everyone was already buzzed; not only from the alcohol but from the lecture given by the guest speaker Chie Gatchalian. She gave an intro to wines and how each one would pair with food.

See the wine glasses? That's how many types of wines they had us taste. Marks & Spencer made sure that no glass was left empty. One thing I noticed was there were no spit buckets. It was a "finish your drink" type of tasting. Hence the presence of the "red-faced" people. ;)
Here are some of the wines they offered for sampling. Got to try out one of their Sparkling Wine. Not really a wine drinker, so I just took one small sip. At first sip, you can taste the bubbly freshness. Tingles the tongue and throat.
Hubby meanwhile tasted the Port and liked it.

Also got to try out one of their Red Wine Selection, the Shiraz. Loved the fruity smell. This had great body.
Even with the high volume of attendees, everyone (from the staff to the organizers) had smiles all throughout. Good job Marks & Spencer.
Thanks for the invite! ;)
