We had an attack of the sweet tooth last night. We were deciding between Cafe Breton at Greenbelt or the yogurt place beside the Petron gas station. Frutti Froyo won for the night.
With the orange & green interiors, yellow-lit bulbs, they make you feel that eating frozen yogurt should be F-U-N. But alas, their self-service type of marketing emphasizes the fact that it's too systematic and complicated.
Step One: Choose your serving size & yogurt flavor.
This actually doesn't matter since even in a small cup, you can fill it to the brim if you wanted to or if you want a big cup but only fill up 1/4 of it. We chose the bigger cup for easy eating & sharing. We had a hard time figuring out how to work the levers and the staff... weren't exactly helpful. Tsk tsk...thumbs down to the staff training.
Step Two: Choose your toppings.
With their clear plastic covers & labels, this was less tricky. There is a wide range of topping selections (fresh fruits and chocolates), the only problem you'll have here is choosing which flavors goes well with another. To play it safe, we chose strawberries & white chocolate.
Step Three: The weigh-in and cost.
After you've created your yogurt masterpiece, it's now time for the finale; paying for it. Now this is important, don't be trigger-happy with the first 2 steps, these might bite you in the ass later on. With a price tag of 19 pesos per ounce, your "perfect froyo" just might cost you your arm & leg if you're not careful.
The verdict? Sweeter than White Hat's. Tastes a bit like normal ice cream. Fruits were fresh & the chocolates did not melt.
