Out with The Fourth Auntie at Myron's Place, Greenbelt Makati

By recommendation of C & K, this has been on our list of new places to try out. After months of planning & rescheduling, finally we were able to try Myron's famous President's Cut.

Myron's Place, Greenbelt 5
Brightly lit and glass all around, Myron's definitely gave a fine dining vibe. Looks good from the outside, let's see what they have to offer inside.

Inside was spacious & huge interiors adorned the walls. These cut up mirror pieces added drama to the place. Cozy with a touch of class, these are the words that best describe Myron's.

Menu Selections
With a wide array of food selections, we had lots to try on the next visit. Tonight, we were going with the couple's favorites. :)
Table Setting
Loved the polka dotted paper mats.

Complimentary Bread
While waiting, they served us this "chocolate-like" bread freshly heated from the oven. This came with a scoop of butter on the side. Simple as it may seem, this was really yummy. I personally couldn't get enough of it. It actually reminded me of the ones Outback serves but with a softer texture. Definitely a good start.

Carbonara
The sauce was creamy & noodles were al dente. The mushrooms, bacon bits & cheese were cooked just right. The serving size is good for 2-3 people. FS Verdict? If you're looking for something simple & clean on the palate, this one's for you.

Penne with Spicy Chorizo & Mushroom (Php 375)
First impression? Not that good. Maybe it's just the colors but this looked unappealing. Passed on trying this one out.

The President's Cut (Php 2200)
And now for the highlight of the evening, Myron's President's Cut. For a group of 6, we ordered 2 of this. Each order was a 500g US Angus Rib Eye Steak with a sprinkle of rock salt on top. Notice the tilt? This was to ensure that the oil stayed at the bottom of the plate. With every cut of the knife, the Angus just slides off the blade as the juices squirted out. I was actually looking for sauce or gravy but surprisingly, the steak oil was tasty enough already.

FS Verdict? With a name like this, I was expecting to be amazed. After 3 spoonfuls, I was still waiting. It's not that it wasn't good, just that it wasn't great. And with a hefty price tag to boot, this should've been better... way better.

Steak Rice (Php 120)
Each order of The President's Cut comes with one side dish. We opted to have the Steak Rice which was fried in the steak oil. Smelled wonderful but lacked the steak flavors. The serving was a bit small too.

Old Fashioned Bread Pudding with Dark Caramel Ice Cream & Rhum Sauce (Php 250)
Not really a fan of bread pudding but decided to give it a try. FS Verdict? Nothing special really. Loved the caramel ice cream though. :)

Cappuccino (Php 140)
To cap the night, Hubby had a cup of coffee.

So this concludes our dinner out at Myron's.

Would we come back? Hmmm.. maybe.

Hey C & K, where to next? :p
