Food-Stars Goes to Singapore: Sky on 57, Marina Bay Sands

Breakfast, the most important meal of the day and we were having that at Marina Bay Sands. Couldn't wait to try "the crispiest & yummiest bacon" served during the breakfast buffet. With a description like that, I couldn't wait.
Dining with a view
We took a table near the windows and started towards the buffet spread. Skipped over the other dishes and went straight for the bacon..... Needless to say, I wasn't impressed.

Aside from the buffet spread, you can also order from the breakfast menu. That's when things began to get interesting.
Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon
Croque Madam
This is by far my favorite. The sliced croissants were flaky & buttery which I loved. The eggs were runny and once you place everything on your spoon, Oh... My... God. This was so good, I had to order another one. ;9

Food-Stars Goes to Singapore: No Signboard Seafood Restaurant, Vivo City

During our previous Singapore visit, we had the chance to try the original branch of No Signboard. Because of time constraint, the group voted to try the one in Vivo City

Vivo City No Signboard
interiors were a far departure from the original. From the light fixtures (chandeliers) to the dragon on pillars, this branch had a classier feel to it. Add the presence of air conditioners & you know that they didn't skimp on their patron's comfort.

Cheryl arrived just in time to take the helm and do the ordering.
Here's our dishes for the night:

It's A Thai Saturday at Benjarong Royal Thai Restaurant, Dusit Thani Manila, Philippines

Dusit Thani Manila houses several restaurants. Our current favorite is Basix wherein you can load up on their yum-tastic lamb, baked oysters and creamy pastas. But this particular Sunday, we were having Thai for dinner.

Welcome to Benjarong, another Dusit Thani food stop.

Pad Thai Gung Sod (Php 465)
To start off, we got the Pad Thai Gung Sod. You can taste all the components; the stir-fried noodles, beansprouts & prawns. You have to eat this hot. FS Verdict? This was a really tasty dish. The serving though was a bit smaller than expected.

Sunday Ramen Day at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, Glorietta 4 Makati, Philippines

Before I start this review, I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of ramen. We've never had a food run to try out new ramen places because noodles just aren't our thing.

But on this particular Sunday,  we were having ramen for dinner... well ramen & tonkatsu.

Welcome to Hokkaido Ramen Santouka.
Can you see the people waiting to be seated? It was a good thing that SIL came early and got us seats. The place was small & the chairs were uncomfortable; signs that they didn't want you to linger (faster turnover means more sales).

International Macaron Day 2014 at TWG Tea, Rockwell Makati

For 2 days, TWG Tea celebrated International Macaron Day with a sweet treat.... You get to enjoy their macarons for half off!

For the unfamiliar, macarons is a sweet meringue-based confection made with eggsicing sugargranulated sugaralmond powder or ground almond, and food colouring. The macaron is commonly filled with ganachebuttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two biscuits. (Thank you Google!)

This wasn't my first time to try macarons. I've had lemon, mint, salted caramel & strawberry flavors. Today was my first taste of TWG Tea's version.

Was planning to go to their Greenbelt branch but alas, several of the flavors were already sold out. Off to Power Plant Mall we went.

Here's our loot!

Steamed Dinner at Lucky Rainbow Seafood Restaurant, Ongpin Manila, Philippines

Since we were in a dim sum binge for the past few days, my FIL suggested a new place to try out.

Located in one of the side streets in Manila, expect the lack of parking space.

Had our food to go since Hubby was running late for his meeting. It takes a bit of time for your food to come out since they steam it as you order to prolong freshness. I hate waiting but in this case, I didn't mind. Our order took about 20-25 minutes.

Coffee Break at Bo's Coffee, SM Megamall, Metro Manila Philippines

While waiting for Hubby's number to be called (for his passport renewal), we decided to try out Bo's Coffee at SM Megamall.

Bo's Coffee, 5th Floor Bridgeway Atrium, SM Megamall

The drinks that closely resembled Frappes from Starbucks were their Froccino Primo line.  Hubby got the one with Chococlate Chips while I got their Caramel.

Drinks in hand

Sweet Tooth Pit Stop at Milkyway, Power Plant Mall, Makati Philippines

Walking around Power Plant Mall, looking for something cool and sweet, this bluish silver glow from one of the restaurants caught our eye.

Welcome to Milkyway.

With this long spoon, can you guess what dessert we ordered???

#FoodStarsAtLittleTokyo: A Japanese Afternoon at Seryna Japanese Restaurant, Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City Philippines

It was going to be Japanese for lunch. Seryna's Bento Box meals (which was available only during lunchtime) came highly recommended by one of Hubby's friends. We decided it was time to see what the hype was all about.

Don't let the place fool you. Because of the sheer volume of cars versus the available parking spaces; everyone was being creative that day. Each corner & sidewalk were all used up. It reached the point that they even blocked the entrance to the restaurant.

We arrived at around 1pm and the place was still full to the rafters. Available seats were gobbled up instantly by newcomers. Business was booming.
