Texas-Style Eating at Racks, Paseo de Magallanes

Was actually trying to blog about another restaurant but this kept nagging me. I couldn't bear to have others experience the kind of service they offered. With an air of dread here is FS' review for Racks Magallanes.

Racks, Paseo de Magallanes
We always make reservations for the 2nd floor, where it was much roomier and can cater large groups of people. The first thing you notice as you place your order? The waitress is hardly helpful. They just stare at you with dead eyes, no acknowledgment whether they got your order or not. Tsk tsk.

REVISITED REVIEW: Romulo Cafe, Jupiter St Makati

A Revisited Review of Romulo Cafe

Yes, this is fast becoming a Sunday dinner hotspot. Everyone was in the mood for something new. What other dishes did Romulo have to offer?

Lengua (Php 275)
Definitely not for the faint-hearted. This dish is made from ox tongue. Romulo's version used red wine as sauce. Verdict? Did not like it. The meat was soft but the taste was a bit weird. The olives gave off a funky aftertaste. Conti's way better.

Ten-Hut at Army Navy, Glorietta 5 Makati

Walking around the mall one late evening, we soon had the hunger pangs for something new. Hubby was in the mood for something light since it was already past 8pm. Having eaten at almost all the restaurants in Glorietta 5, we were actually left with a few to choose from.

This caught our eye....

Hmmm... they had the balls to post this, let's see if they actually deliver on that promise.

Outside Menu
With a name like Army Navy, I was hoping to see military memorabilia or knick-knacks. But aside from the numerous road signs plastered all over the walls and the bunker-like order counter, the place in itself was a bit plain. I think it was trying to convey a mess hall kind of set up wherein the tables and chairs were wooden.
