It's another Ramen Sunday. This time, we drove all the way to Robinson's Place Manila for a hot steaming bowl from Ajisen.
The place was packed and for a party of 7, it took awhile for us to be seated.
Here's what we had for dinner...
Crunchy Roll (Php 210) |
This was your typical California Maki with mangoes, cucumber, crabstick sushi roll. They just added crunchy flakes on top. FS verdict? Not bad.
Jurrassic Roll (Php 395) |
Agedashi Tofu (Php 88) |
Tofu was soft yet firmly packed; it didn't break apart even when picked up with chopsticks. More sauce would've made this a better dish.
Gyoza (Php 118) |
Pork dumplings was also on the menu for tonight. Ajisen Ramen's version was just alright; nothing special.
We got Spicy Ramen (Php 255). This had spicy bbq pork, leeks boiled egg, cabbage & fungus. Serving is for two people. The broth wasn't too milky/ creamy which I liked. The noodles also had an al dente texture, firmer than most ramen noodle I've tasted.
Chahan |
Wasn't able to get the price and I'm not really sure about the name. Taste-wise? This was just okay.
Gyudon (Php 235) |
Sliced beef with shitake mushrooms, green leeks and that yellow golden raw egg yolk on top was a sight to behold. Its taste though was a different story. Huge disappointment. :(
Overall, although there were a few misses, Ajisen Ramen has my vote for their yummy Spicy Ramen & Jurrassic Roll. :)
