I'm all for trying new places out, it's Hubby that needs more convincing.
I dragged him to a coffee run at the Century City Mall. The newly opened mall was brightly lit but still had lots of unopened places. Went up the 3rd floor to Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters.
Small & with a limited number of chairs, the place was soon filled up. The white-washed walls were a nice touch. It gives off a subway/ tunnel kind of vibe.
Here's their menu. We asked for the barista's recommendation for their cold ones. He suggested Mocha (Php 160 + 10) and Latte (Php 140 + 10). We both went for the large size.
So here's a photo of our drink. I was expecting their signature black cup but it seemed like its only available in their regular ones. Disappointing.
As for the taste? Both drinks were actually quite bad. Every sip was excruciating; we just wanted to get it over with.
Food-Stars Verdict? Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters didn't make my life easier. A double thumbs down from a new place just cemented Hubby's protests. Sigh. And sadly in this case, I couldn't agree more.
