Chicken Run at Classic Savory, The Link Building Makati

Hearing of the SM Advantage promo through the grapevine, we decided to eat dinner at Classic Savory

SM Advantage Savory Promo

We've had their chicken before but this would be the first we were having Savory's Lomi. With tummies rumbling, we soon found ourselves in front of Classic Savory, The Link Building in Makati.

Table wares & Chairs
I know it sounds silly but with the cover picture of chicken in their menu and the wooden table & chairs, I couldn't help but think that we were at Max's Restaurant. But the similarities end there.

While waiting for our orders to arrive, this picture display caught my eye.

Photo Montage
The black and white photos mixed in with the colored ones made for a perfect centerpiece for the place. Thumbs up for that! :)

Bar & Counter
The brown and brown motiff continued all throughout the entire restaurant. The earthy tones of brown, tans and creams were present from the walls to the bar.

Savory Fried Rice
What's the difference between this dish & the Yang Chow Fried Rice? For a price difference of 20 pesos, you get to have bite-size pieces of chorizo mixed in with the rice. With it's bright yellow rice, green peas, orange bits of veggies & red chorizo, this was a symphony of colors and flavors. They served it hot which was a great plus. The serving is good for 2-3 people.

Whole Savory Chicken
Not far behind was the restaurant's bestseller, Savory Chicken. The red, crispy crunchy skin was enough to make me come back for more. The chicken was soft and cooked perfectly. Don't forget to ask for the gravy. Yummy for the tummy. Definitely recommended! :)

Camaron Rebosado
This dish comes with 8 pieces of shrimps fried until crunchy. Instead of the usual curled shrimps, Savory's version was long and puffy. Every bite has that shrimp-y goodness, they weren't stingy on that part. Add the sweet sauce and it was pure delight.

Lomi
And who can forget the Lomi. I'm no fan of this dish but was surprised to find myself eating bowlfuls of this one. They serve it hot and filled to the brim, easily good for 2-3 people. The noodles weren't soggy and the veggies + other ingredients were cooked perfectly. The sweet sticky soup was awesome. Can't wait to have this again. :)

Verdict? Our major gripe was they told us that we can't have the food to go and still avail of the promo. Also, they insisted on cash payment. Question, where in the promo mechanics is any of that written? Attention Savory, your staff seems to be misinformed regarding your promo mechanics. An immediate response to this matter would be highly beneficial to your establishment.
