After our Paradiso Zoo adventure, we had to rest our heels. At 3 in the afternoon, it was a perfect time for a coffee break & a little snack. I think you can guess where we went next.
Bag of Beans |
The place was actually divided into two parts. The wooden doors opens to their souvenir shop where you can buy coffee beans & trinkets.
Bag of Beans Coffee Mug |
For the dining area, there are two entrances; you can either go in thru their souvenir shop or thru the double doors outside.
Dining Area |
Table View |
Bag of Beans is all about al fresco dining, the cool Tagaytay air was enough ventilation.
Swing Set |
After giving our orders, we walked around to explore. This swing set caught my eye; a perfect photo op for the trigger-happy me ;)
Garden Salad (Php 195) |
We also had the Spaghetti with Cream Sauce (Php 280). This white-sauced pasta was creamy, just the way I like it. The noodles were cooked al dente. FS Verdict? Not really a dish to drive out to Tagaytay for. Although this was well-made, the dish was pretty much ordinary.
Of course, with a name like Bag of Beans, you had to order their coffee.
Cold Drinks |
The sun was pretty harsh that afternoon so everyone voted for cold drinks.
Double shots of Coffee Choco Banana (Php 145 each) for J & M. I'm not a fan of banana drinks so this was a definite pass for me. Presentation-wise? Looked a bit messy. The froth was uneven & the squiggly chocolate lines was no help at all.
Black Forest Frappe (Php 145) |
Hubby's choice came up flat as well. This was how they served it to our table, with the froth sinking to the bottom of the glass. There was no chocolate cake taste; this was not even sweet. What I was able to sip was a weird combination of flavors that I hope to never taste again. It was that bad!
Apple Pie Ala Mode (Php 155) |
