Food-Stars Goes to Tagaytay: Buon Giorno Caffe and Bistro

For dinner, we wanted something different from the Filipino lunch we had. Good thing that just beside our hotel was this Italian place. It looks like it's going to be a pizza and pasta kind of night!

Love the signpost & greenery.

This little man was waiting for us by the door. Cute right? It doesn't get any more Italian than this! ;P

The menu looked good enough to eat.

Inside
The interiors looked warm & pretty much Italian. With photos of their best selling dishes all around the restaurant, it seemed like we were in for a Good Eat.

Table Setting
Complimentary Bread
Dips
While waiting for our orders to arrive, they serve complimentary bread to munch on. Mix the olive oil & balsamic vinegar & you're all set. Just don't forget to ask for Parmesan cheese. ;9

Penne All'Arrabiata (Php 315)
Chose this pasta dish because of the spicy kick the sauce promised. Serving size is for 2 people. FS Verdict? The penne was al dente, the tomato sauce was definitely heavenly & the spiciness was just right. Thumbs up Buon Giorno! ;9

Spaghetti Vongole e Gamberretti (Php 310)
For our second pasta dish we got something that had seafood in it. The shrimps & clams were fresh and this was light to the palate. Again, the noodles were al dente. Not really a fan of olive oil based pasta but this was actually good.

Quattro Formaggio (Php 365)
This cheesy goodness is a combination of mozzarella, fontina, Parmesan & gongonzola.  Crisp yet crumbly, topped with the melted cheeses, this was a pizza to remember. ;9

New York (Php 300)
For our meat craving, we got Buon Giorno's New York pizza. Serving is for 2-3 people. This is basically assorted meat, bell peppers & cheese. First impression? Looked a bit rustic but taste-wise, this did not disappoint.

Coppa de Tiramisu (Php 185)
After all the carbs, we wanted something sweet to end the meal. Chocolate seemed to do the trick! This is cake infused with rum and coffee, layered with mascarpone cheese. The grated chocolate on top was a nice touch.

The Tagaytay night air was cool & soothing, the perfect ending to our evening meal.
