This was where we bunked for our 2D/1N Tagaytay stay. Our hotel accommodations & itinerary was handled by Paylite Travel & Tour. Yup, even for an out-of-town road trip, we had a travel agency handle our affairs. 'Coz that's how we roll! ;p

Welcome to Magallanes Square Hotel.
First impression? Nothing spectacular really. Hmmm... maybe it's more of a low-key type of hotel. At least it had ample parking space.

As you enter the lobby, you'll see this quaint breakfast dining area. So far so good.
Scattered all over the hotel was this tarpaulin which listed the services they offered. Let's see if they make good on their promise.
Drum roll please...

Room was a bit cramped; it was a good thing we would be outside most of the time. This is where blog reviews come in handy. Knowing beforehand that the bathroom would be slightly see-through, we came prepared. Armed with piles of newspaper & packaging tape, we made our own "newspaper wall".
Taking a deep breath, we turned on the tv and it was snowing in every channel! Lines of static were running across the screen. Sigh. Took out our trusted Ipad and decided to just surf the web instead. More bad news, they didn't have Wi-fi. You had to go to the other building just to get a signal. And that was after 5 technicians already checked & rechecked their connection.
This was becoming frustrating. >:S
We were about to turn in for the night when lo and behold, we started hearing music from down the hall. Yup, someone was singing karaoke & was kind enough to give us a free show! >:( With the paper thin walls, we could even hear the people chatting outside on the balcony. Grabe!
The next morning, with dark circles under our eyes we got up & waited for our breakfast to be served. We opted to have it in our room to avoid the morning dash to the dining area.
It's Longgsilog (Longganisa, Sinangag & Itlog); which roughly translates to Spanish chorizo, Garlic Rice & Fried egg. FS Verdict? Quite good actually.
After checking out, we couldn't leave fast enough.
Are we coming back? Magallanes Square Hotel, you got lots to improve before we even think of going back.
