Chinese Monday at Zong, Fort Square Plaza Bonifacio Global City

It's been ages since we've had Chinese so we were happy to learn that in BGC, there was this restaurant getting rave reviews for their Yang Chow. We're always on the lookout for yummy Yang Chow and only a few has made it on our list.

Tonight, we were hoping that Zong would be a new addition.

Zong, The Fort Strip BGC
We made good time (C & L was right behind us) even with the wrong directions given by the staff. Hay.

Table Setting
Simple & plain are the first things that come into mind; none of the usual Asian fixtures or decors. Honestly, the place didn't look Chinese.

Panizza Love at Uncle Cheffy, Robinsons Magnolia

Sis has been raving about this place since Christmas. When Mom suggested that we celebrate Mother's Day here, we were excited. Conveniently located in the newly built Robinsons Magnolia, parking was not going to be a problem.

Uncle Cheffy, Robinsons Magnolia

Airy, bright and light were the first 3 words that come into mind. With the wicker-type seats and wooden tables, Uncle Cheffy gives off a laid back vibe perfect for group dining and relaxing.

Cheffy Salad Medium (Php 230)
Salad was fast becoming Mom's comfort food. It seemed that no dine out is complete without one. What makes Uncle Cheffy's version special was atop your leafy greens rested this yummy, succulent pork belly. Yup, they serve pork with their salad! That alone deserves a star in my book. :P

New Product Announcement: Cookie Butter Donuts by Go Nuts Donuts

A sweet surprise courtesy of Go Nuts Donuts! A dozen of their Cookie Butter Donuts. A perfect combination to our mid-afternoon coffee. :P

Tied & delivered

Made from their very own Cookie Butter recipe (yup, no Speculoos here), this was something special. I'll have to admit, this was my first time to try anything Cookie Butter-ed. With all those blue & red labeled jars popping up in the metro, Go Nuts Donuts new flavor was right on time.

Chops A-Hoy at HoHo ChickenChop, Masangkay Street Tondo Manila

After a visit to the dentist and getting that "all clear" sign, it's always nice to take your newly cleaned choppers out for a spin.  :P

My friend P has been asking me to try out her new venture into the food business. We thought it was high time to do so most especially since this was just few steps away from the dentist's office. This was a perfect case of hitting two birds with one stone. :P

HoHo ChickenChop
With this cute egg-shaped chicken and bright red color, Hoho Chickenchop is hard to miss. Uncle was very camera-shy and no coaxing from our part could make him smile for the camera. But no worries, his no-look isn't half bad. :)

Menu
They offer a wide array of flavors as well as other deep fried goodies to munch on. Upon Uncle's suggestion, we tried out their Chickenchop in Hoho Special style and Fried Squid in Hot & Spicy
