Food-Stars Goes to Singapore: Taste Paradise, Ion Orchard

Last September of 2013, we got a chance to go back to Singapore. Kerwin, Cheryl & Caryl were playing host for this visit. And yes, we appreciate the fact that Kerwin chose to meet up with us rather than going to Martin Nievera's concert in the Philippines. Lakas namin sayo! Hahaha ;p

They guaranteed our 4D/3N to be filled with food trips & fun times. On the first day, after walking around several malls (yes, with an S) Kerwin scheduled a dimsum treat for lunch.

Welcome to Taste Paradise!

Butterbeer Battle: Early Bird Breakfast Club vs Starbucks

It's been awhile since we've made a Battle of Series post.
So here goes...

Welcome to the Battle of the Butterbeer! ;)

Yes Potter fans, it's our all-time favorite drink from The Three Brommsticks!
So park your brooms, wave your wands and let's get ready to rumble!!

Butterbeer from Early Bird Breakfast Club

In this corner, we have Early Bird Breakfast Club's version of Butterbeer; cream soda with whipped cream on top & a caramel twill. At first sip, the taste is reminiscent of the A&W Cream Soda found in the supermarkets. Mix in the whipped cream for a more frothy drink. Sweetness level? About 50-60%. The caramel twill was a nice touch.

Butterbeer from Starbucks

In this corner, we have Starbuck's version of Butterbeer; Toffee Nut Frappe with an extra shot of Toffee Nut syrup topped with whipped cream & caramel drizzle. At first sip, the taste is really buttery. Sweetness level? 80-90%.

Chinese Treats at Wai Ying, Benavidez Street Binondo Manila

There are days when you just want to have your siomai fix. This was one of those days. ;)

Welcome to Wai Ying at Binondo Manila! ;)

You know you're in a Chinese restaurant when you see this on the table. It's the "washing ritual" of the utensils!

Shrimps Ahoy at Bubba Gump, Greenbelt 3 Makati City

While walking around Greenbelt at 8:30 in the evening, hunger struck. We couldn't decide on where to eat when we remembered that we haven't been back to Bubba Gump for the longest time. Shrimps & Southern Fried Chicken memories soon led us to Forrest's food haunt.

Nothing changed! From the movie memorabilia to the "flip-it" Stop and Run Sign, everything was just like the first time we walked in.
