Birthday Bash at Harvest Gastro Pub, The Fort Taguig

One of the many celebrations for my birthday (Thanks Baby! :P).
This time with the badminton group.

Harvest Gastro Pub, The Fort Bonifacio Global City Taguig
Interiors
The white walls with the black chairs & couches gave the place a sleek & modern look. The huge hooks and lights coming from under the ledges were a nice touch.
Bar View
Since this was a gastro pub, expect to see lots of liquors to choose from.

Hungry from the ride over, we decided to try one from their appetizer section & one from their pasta menu.
Sausage, Cheese & Fries (Php 220)
Looked good; tasted good. The sausage was sliced for easier eating & sharing. Only complaint was that there should've been more fries! :P Serving was good for 2-3 people.

This came out exactly as it was written on the menu. The red sauce was just okay, a bit mediocre in my opinion. The garlic bread was a bit tough to chew. FS Recommendation? Ask for more Parmesan cheese.

People started arriving by this time.
Meat Overload (Php 395)
A pizza topped with salami, ham, bacon & chorizo is any meat lovers' favorite. Harvest's version tasted okay, nothing special. The melted cheese was good and the crust was crunchy and crumbles in every bite.

Seafood Puttanesca (Php 195)
It was certainly a night of red sauces. :P This dish was pasta noodles tossed with a myriad of creatures of the sea (shrimp, scallops, squid, anchovies, capers) plus olives. The marinara sauce lacked flavor. FS Verdict? Not something I'll be ordering again.

Spicy Spareribs (Php 195)
The favorite of the night! This pica-pica treat was crunchy and spicy as promised. The pork belly cubes were fried to perfection. Good job Harvest! :)

Beef Salpicao (Php 245)
It wouldn't be complete without Beef Salpicao, I always say! :P Was really excited to try Harvest's version since it's been a long while since I've had a good salpicao. First impression? Looks good; plenty of olive oil. Taste-wise? Not gonna be my go-to salpicao. Nothing special.

Four Seasons Shake (Php 80)
This was an absolute yum. Refreshing and cold, you can taste all the fruits in the mix. Bottoms up! :)

Are we coming back? Yeah, we did. Revisited Review of Harvest up soon.
Watch out for it! :P

(07.16.13) Revisited Review now up! :)
