Tuesday Dinner at Tazza Cafe, Maria Clara Street Quezon City

One time, while Hubby was at his monthly meeting in Quezon City, Jacq & Mannix invited me out for dinner. It was a choice between the newly opened Katsu Cafe or Tazza Cafe. We rolled the dice and went with the latter.

What made Tazza Cafe different from other cafes is the fact that it's beside a car wash. This is where you eat & wait while your car gets cleaned.

Since this wasn't their first visit, I left the ordering up to them.
Here's what we had for dinner...

Creamy Spinach (Php 110)

We got this for appetizer. The crispy wanton chips dipped in the warm spinach sauce was the bomb! Appetizer pa lang, happy na ako. ;)

Blackened Chicken (Php 215)
This dish came highly recommended and I must say, this was surprisingly good. The sambal rice was the perfect complement to the grilled boneless chicken (although on our next visit, Hubby begged to differ). Serving size though left me a bit bitin. :(

Porkchop Ala Pobre (Php 165)
The plating was neat and simple. This came with a choice of either garlic rice or mashed potatoes; went with the rice option. The crunchy garlic bits on top was a nice touch. The porkchop was cooked just right.

Beef Salpicao (Php 220)
Salpicao is one of my foodie weakness. The tenderloin tips were juicy & tender. The sauce (which was mainly made up of oyster sauce & lee and perrins) was actually quite good.

And to wash it all down, we ordered a pitcher of their Four Seasons which was about 3-4 glasses full.

We made good time; Hubby's dinner meeting finished the same time as ours so he just went here to meet us.

Are we coming back? Hubby wasn't all that happy on our 2nd visit. Although the food were tasty, it all boiled down to the fact that there were other places wherein they served tastier dishes with a lighter price tag. Overall, it was good but not great.
