Ten-Hut at Army Navy, Glorietta 5 Makati

Walking around the mall one late evening, we soon had the hunger pangs for something new. Hubby was in the mood for something light since it was already past 8pm. Having eaten at almost all the restaurants in Glorietta 5, we were actually left with a few to choose from.

This caught our eye....

Hmmm... they had the balls to post this, let's see if they actually deliver on that promise.

Outside Menu
With a name like Army Navy, I was hoping to see military memorabilia or knick-knacks. But aside from the numerous road signs plastered all over the walls and the bunker-like order counter, the place in itself was a bit plain. I think it was trying to convey a mess hall kind of set up wherein the tables and chairs were wooden.

Being newbies to this restaurant, we were kinda grasping at straws on how to order and where to order. The staff were friendly and helpful though. I was getting a neck strain looking up the menu board when she gladly gave us a flyer for easier ordering. Thumbs up for that.

Freedom Fries (Php 65)
Crunchy and served hot. The fries were too thin but was surprisingly good. Serving is good for 2 people.

Wrapped

Starving Sailor Sandwich Steak (Php 235)
This looked like our comfort food from Burger King (Chicken Sandwich). Every bite was an adventure of moist & succulent Rib Eye steak mixed with JalapeƱo cheese spread, caramelized onions & bell peppers rolled into one delicious sourdough-y goodness. A definite YUM in our book! :)

Double Burger (Php 195) + Cheese (Php 30)
We waved goodbye to our "light" dinner (haha). FS wanted to give you a thorough review of Army Navy so we ordered 2 more items from different columns of the menu. We had it cut in half for sharing. Juicy beef burger but other than that, nothing special. Advice? Eat this hot.

Baja Chicken Quesadillas (Php 195)
We actually saw this from someone else's order. It looked colorfully yummy. An opened-face quesadillas that's cut like pizza slices? FS just had to try this one out! The "crust" was thin and toasted just right. Amazingly crunchy with every bite. Wished that there were more chicken bits. Highly recommended! :)

LiberTea (Php 65)
To wash it all down, we also ordered their Iced Tea. Keeping with the military theme, their play on the name was pretty cool. This definitely reminded me of the Iced Teas sold at DLSU U-Mall. Cool and refreshing, just the way drinks should be. Bottoms up! :)

Army Navy is now one of our go-to-place for Good Eats. Only gripe was that you had to constantly stand up to get your order from the window (cafeteria type of serving).

FoodStars will surely be back for more! :)

SERVICE:  Food was served hot & pretty short waiting time per order.

TASTE: The unique "pizza" dish cinched it for us.

VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY: A bit pricey but definitely worth it.
