Pastry Time at Eric Kayser, Marketplace Power Plant Mall Makati

Sunday was Family Day.
After our Wooden Spoon dinner, we went walking around Rockwell. We were nearing Marketplace when something orange caught our eye.

Eric Kayser, Marketplace Power Plant Mall

Relatively new (still in its soft opening stage), some of their display trays were already empty yet no refill was in sight. Also, pastry variety was a bit limited but they promised to bring in more in the days to come.

Here are some of the pastries they had to offer...

Butter Croissant (Pho 75)

They had free taste of their cookies, which I liked, but we settled on their Butter Croissant (Php 75) for our breakfast the next day.

Croissants are best paired with a cup of hot, steaming latte. ;)

Crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside, this was a yummy treat. It had the right amount of butter to keep it from tasting plain.

FS Verdict? With its hefty price tag, I was expecting a wow factor but was sorely disappointed. Don't get me wrong, Eric Kayser's Butter Croissant was good... just not 75 pesos good :).

Will we be coming back? Maybe when the new pastries come in.
