Tasty Treats at Tim Ho Wan, Glorietta 3, Makati Philippines

Seeing this all over Glorietta, I couldn't contain my excitement.

Finally, they're opening one right in our neighborhood! ;)

We were able to go on the 3rd day but the long line & full capacity seating made us feel like it was opening day all over again. Good thing waiting time only took about 10 minutes. 

They led us in their function room where it was more private and had lots more elbow room. A nice start to our evening.

 

Glutinous Rice with Lotus Leaf (Php 150)

Ever since we had a taste of their machang, I knew that any Tim Ho Wan visit wouldn't be complete without this dish. Unwrapping the lotus leaf unveils the fragrant sticky rice. Surprisingly, the pork & mushroom in this branch were softer & tastier. 

Vermicelli Roll with Shrimp (Php 190)

Shrimp Rice Roll has always been Hubby's favorite; especially when you can taste the shrimp in every bite. 

Baked Bun with Barbecue Pork (Php 145)

Here's their yummy-in-the-tummy pork buns! ;9

Spring Roll with Egg White (Php 120)

But the special of the night was this quiet unassuming dish. It's as simple as it gets; but one bite & it takes your taste buds on a spin of clean & fresh flavors. Something light yet memorable. Food-Stars Verdict? Loved this!

And of course, any Tim Ho Wan visit warrants a take-out for the in-laws. This time around its for the 2 of them plus Ninang & Kathy. Two orders of Pork Buns + Steamed Egg Cake (Php 85) + Pan Fried Carrot Cake (Php 145). A perfect early breakfast treat before their flight to the US. ;)
