Having had the chance to try Neapolitan pizza & loving it, I was really excited about eating at Motorino. ;)
This used to be a different Italian restaurant. Hmmmm.. that seems to be the trend for this specific space in Greenbelt.
Loved how the shiny ceiling & red lights connects with the wall painting; it makes you feel like you're really driving on the bridge. ;)
If you aren't into all that stainless, they have this booth. Here they keep it simple & woodsy.
The HUGE oven where all the pizza magic happens! ;)

We went with their lunch special which included a 13" pizza, 2 drinks & 2 desserts.
Here's a closer look.
The wings had nice charring on the skin. A bit spicy for my liking, squeezing it with lemon helped to neutralize it somewhat. For the missing crunch factor, eating it with the onion slices helps. Food-Stars Verdict? This tasted a bit plain; it didn't offer enough to excite my taste buds. It also leaned a bit on the oily side because of too much extra virgin olive oil.
Here's what they promised.
Here's what it looked like.
Pretty much the same, right? And that's always a good thing. Now for the taste. Motorino's Soppressata Piccante was a nice surprise. As Neapolitan pizzas go, the soupy center was spot on. The charred crust or "leopard spots" as they call it, adds character. The tomato sauce was a bit on the sour side; the saltiness came from the spicy Italian salami & the two types of cheeses (mozarella & pecorino) helped in melding the flavors together. The spiciness comes from the fresh chilies. Food-Stars Verdict? The flavor was something different from what we're used to but it was intriguing enough to warrant a second visit. Food-Stars Recommendation? Fold it up to get all the liquid center & eat this with your hands! ;)
And now for dessert.
Dark chocolate cake lovers; this ones for you. Each layer featured a different type of chocolate, starting from the chocolate graham crust to the bittersweet center & the semi-sweet top. This got a smile from Hubby. ;)
But its their Tiramisu that steals the show. I'm not a Tiramisu fan but this made me a convert. Yum! ;9
Okay, the size difference really made me quite sad since the small one was mine. Seeing Hubby's cup made me feel a bit of #coffeeenvy.
First thought that came into mind was "Froth palang, sarap na!"
Being a caramel fan, I couldn't pass on this. But instead of sweetness in every sip, it's the espresso that was overwhelming. Seeing my sad face, Hubby offered a coffee exchange, which I happily agreed to. ;)
Are we coming back? Absolutely! ;) See you soon Motorino!

While waiting for the pizza, we ordered something from their Antipasti section to nibble on.
