Winging It at Wingman, The Collective, San Antonio Makati, Philippines

'Coz Hubby is truly a Wings man, we had to try WingmanHahaha. See what I did there? ;) But seriously though, this was one place that has been on our list for the longest time.

Love their "blueprint wall" of planes & how they work.

And their photo wall were a nice touch.

Here's our table shot of the night!

Iron Skillet Queso (Php 268.80)
This was for our starter. Paper-thin crunchy tortilla chips served with a hot skillet of melted cheese and ground beef. Reminds you of a certain unlimited chips place doesn't it? ;) Wingman's version is a nice homage. Food-Stars Recommendation? Eat it while hot. The cheese cools quickly & makes it hard to scoop up.

We were there for the wings & we wanted to try out as much flavors as possible so we had a dozen each! ;)

(L-R) Buffalo Classic Apocalypse & Buffalo Classic Medium (Php 392)
Always on the lookout for the spiciest wings around, Hubby ordered their 2nd hottest, the Apocalypse. For lil 'ol me who has a weaker stomach for spicy things, he ordered the mildest level called Medium. Food-Stars Verdict? Both were tasty & coated really well with the sauce. But the highlight of the meal was the dip. This white creamy sauce is to-die-for. ;) Hubby's all set for the hottest level on our next visit, the Inferno.

(L-R) Garlic Parmesan & Prairie Fire (Php 392)
Went with our server's recommendation & was happy that we did. I liked how different the flavors were, it made for an exciting food tasting. The Garlic Parmesan was my favorite. Simple yet tasty, the garlicky taste was the one that won me over; although a bit more parmesan wouldn't hurt. The Prairie Fire was also a good choice, with the wings dipped in the Classic Buffalo flavor mixed with Ranch dressing was a winner.

Wingman Signature Rice (Php 33.60)
To pair our wings with, we each had an order of rice. This was surprisingly good. There were hints of flavor that melds well with the wings.

In conclusion, we were happy campers by the end of our meal. Wingman definitely did not disappoint ;)

Midnight Wings at B.Wings Glorietta 3 Park, Makati

For our second visit to the Food Truck Stop at Glorietta 3, we knew that we couldn't leave without trying one of the wares displayed.

Hubby was hankering for chicken wings. Luckily, just a few steps from Mio Gelato was this kiosk.

B.Wings at Glorietta 3 Park

First thing that caught my eye was one of their flavors; Barak o Pakpak. Filipino humor at its finest! :p

Since this was our first time to try B.Wings, we had lots of questions regarding the flavors.  They deep-fry your chicken as you order; which is always a good thing.

We ended up with their bestsellers. After waiting 5-7 minutes, you're all set. You can mix two flavors for an order of 10 wings (which was actually 5 wings cut in half).  Our total for the night was Php 200.

Packed for takeout, we drove home and got ready to dig in.

Seeing Red at Aveneto Pizzeria Ristorante, Glorietta 3 Makati

Get ready for another FoodStars low-down this time for.....
 Aveneto Pizzeria Ristorante.

aVeneto Pizzaria Ristorante, Glorietta 3

By the colors alone, Aveneto was definitely invoking the Italian vibe. At 7:30pm on a Sunday, the place was packed to the rafters. Seems like business was booming.

Tables & Chairs

As you enter, you'll notice that no one will assist you to your seat. I'm thinking, is this like a fast food setup wherein you just sit anywhere you want? After several minutes of trying to get the waiter's attention, we finally got seated. First impression? Place was kinda cramped and the crowd was a bit noisy. Definitely not the place to unwind & relax.

A Mobster Lunch at Bugsy's Forbeswood, Makati

After buying stocks the whole morning, we decided to try out one of our coupon places in Makati. Still in search for the best chicken wings (SB still number one in our books), we wanted to know what Bugsy's Forbeswood had to offer.

Bugsy's Sport bar & bistro, Forbeswood Makati

As you enter, you'll be welcomed by the sight of the long wooden bar & liquor-filled walls. The TV screens showed different sports channels but with no audio. High stools and high chairs adorned the first floor. Was never a fan of high seating and dangling feet, so we soon found ourselves siting at the only available booth in the place. Major gripe? The couch was in dire need of washing & cleaning. And the tables smelled a bit.

Chicken Wing Fever at Sunrise Buckets, Madison Square Greenhills

While surfing through online coupon sites featuring restaurants, this one caught our fancy.
Since we’ve been hearing about chicken-wing-concept-restaurants cropping up all around the metro (BWnT, Wingstop, etc), we decided to try this one out.
SUNRISE BUCKETS at Madison Square, Greenhills
As you enter, you'll notice the surfboards on the wall, videos of surfing with the waves rolling in the background. It’s like you’re on the beach, soaking up the hot summer sun.
