All Wing-ed Out at Buffalo's Wings and Things, Solaris One Makati

Continuing our search for the yummiest buffalo wings, we heard about this place in Solaris One  building.

Buffalo's Wings and Things at Solaris One Makati

We got confused and entered thru Chubby's Rib Shack, but no worries since they are under the same company. Here's the photo of the Shack's interior:

Getting ready for.. winter?
Looks like a log cabin, even comes with realistic firewood. But enough about that, let's go back to the real issue here... BUFFALO WINGS! :)

Plas-tils
The big difference with the other Buffalo Wings place is that here, the plates & utensils are plastic. Big disappointment. The worst part? Their plastic cups for drinks comes with a free hole in them. Watch as your drink flows onto the table & to the floor. How fun!

Bottle Freebie?
We ordered  a pitcher of their iced tea. It was served in a familiar-looking bottle, those that comes free with every pack of powdered drink you find in supermarkets. Fail! And about the dripping cup, our server found a solution for it. Instead of replacing the cup altogether, she opted to put another cup underneath, "para may pangsalo ng natatapon na juice". Umm. okay. Unbelievable.

Wanting to try how HOT their wings were, we ordered the New York's Finest (with a rating of 2 flames).  The wings were crunchy but not coated well, some parts lacked flavor. As for the hotness quotient,  this was truly tongue-tingling. Not for the faint-hearted. This was already good even without the dip.

For our non-spicy flavor, we got the Garlic Parmesan. I wasn't able to taste the parmesan while the garlic was too strong. I don't think this was actually a good combination, or maybe their recipe needs work. Here, the dip from the New York's Finest really helped the dish. The wings were kinda overcooked and tough to chew.

We also tried their Dirty Rice. Don't be scared, it's actually clean and flavorful. The downside? Instead of complementing the wings, it overpowered them. Alone, the rice tasted good. Recommendation? Plain rice would work better.

To complete the meal, we had their dessert. We ordered their New York Cheesecake Ice Cream. Now this was a definite YUM! With a scoop of vanilla ice cream, sprinkled with crumbled graham crackers, topped with whipped cream and drizzled with blueberry sauce... just writing all of these down makes me crave for one more. Spoons up for this one! :)

Hmmm... a bold statement indeed.
Maybe too bold...

  1. For me the Dirty Rice is the best thing on the MENU. If you guys can tolerate super spicy food, try their chicken burgers . . . XD
