Java-womba at Aristocrat, Jupiter Street Makati

We were craving for Java rice and where better to have it than at Aristocrat!

They had a bottomless Java rice promo and we were ready!

Boneless Chicken Barbecue with Java Rice
The Boneless Chicken Barbecue was cooked just right with blackened bits. We've been here several times already and it's good to report that they are consistent in their cooking & serving.  Because there was no more bones to contend with, this is easy to eat & quite filling. With its orange goodness, the Java rice is the perfect complement to the chicken.  There was also atchara served on the side.  And of course, this dish won't be complete without their signature peanut sauce. YUM!

Calamaris
We also had the Calamaris. Fried just enough to soften the squid but not overcooked and not much breading was used which was how I liked it. :) The sour cream dip really tickles the tongue, making this simple dish flavorful. Complaint? Too small serving.

Blended Iced Tea
To wash it all down, we ordered their iced tea. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for Blended Iced Teas so this was an automatic thumbs up for me. Love the frothy bubbles on top.

Sago't Gulaman
I've been looking for the best Sago't Gulaman so I had to try theirs out. Crushed ice. Check. Syrup. Check. Sago. Check. Gulaman. Check. Hmm... seems all the standard components are all accounted for.  Presentation-wise, this was colorful and pleasing to the eyes. As for the taste, not too sweet which was a bummer for me. I was hoping to get my sugar fix from this drink. Overall, an okay drink.
