RR Part 3: Caffe Puccini, The Fort Strip

Now for Part 3 of the Caffe Puccini experience. For a recap of the other two visits, click below.

Part One
Part Two

Date: March 15, 2012
Time: 9pm

The bad service we had the last visit here was still fresh in our minds. We were now armed and ready for the rudeness to come. We called ahead and made reservations for 9pm. Surprised to hear the accommodating & friendly voice on the other end. The night was definitely off to a good start.

Other Entrance
When we arrived, they led us to our table. Once seated, they readily handed us the menus and did not make a fuss that we were using a voucher. This was such a far cry from the previous servers we had. Thumbs up for that!

Ostriche Rockefeller (Php 355)
We were so over their pasta menu, nothing special really. Wanted something new and saw this. I'm a sucker for oysters so this is probably a biased review :). Surrounded by the blue salt, the cheesy oysters slides right off the shell.. and did I say that they serve it hot? Yum right? :)

And of course, no Puccini night out is complete without their Quattro Formaggio pizza. This 1/2 meter pizza is our all-time fav. Let's see if they managed to be consistent about it. Cheese bubbles? Check. Light brown crust? Check. Yummy taste? On each visit, Puccini managed to give us different tastes for the exact same pizza. Unfortunately in this case, this was not a good thing. On this visit, the crust was a bit burnt and the pizza didn't taste like it was handmade nor fresh from the oven. Sigh.

Great Service!
Although Puccini's fares were not actually of stellar proportions as we were expecting, the service we got compensated for most of the evening. The staff were uber-friendly and accommodating. Surprised to learn that they offer changing of plates here. They were all smiles all night which was a far cry from our previous visits. Triple thumbs up for that! :)

As you can see, I can't stress enough how happy we were of the service we got. The management certainly made the right move in this one. Keep up the good work! :) Hubby couldn't contain himself, he just had to tell the manager about the huge improvement. The following dialogue ensued:

Hubby: "Bago na ba tao niyo?"
Manager: "Bakit po?"
Hubby: "Kasi ngayon laging nakangiti. Yung mga noon niyo mukhang laging namamatayan!"
Which prompted laughter from the person-in-charge & the whole staff.
:)
