Pizza Paradiso at Caffe Puccini, The Fort Strip BGC

This is the 1st of 3 reviews.

I'm going to be honest, I have never heard of this place before this was offered on an online coupon site. Being suckers for white cheese pizza, you had us at  Pizza Quattro Formaggio. :)
Caffe Puccini, The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City
Don't let the exterior fool you. I was expecting a quaint, old-fashioned style of pizzaria but upon entering, the place was buzzing with activity. We arrived at 8:30pm and the place was still filled to the brim. Another example why making reservations are so important.

With it's orange walls, yellow lights and brick-walled ovens, it seem like you've just entered into a slice of Italy. O Sole Mio... :)

Lights Up!

Cake Anyone?
Get ready for some eye-candy. With elegant light fixtures, unique wall decors, adorable tabletop accessory and wine holders, you won't get bored while waiting for your order. Also, with the ambiance perfect for group eating, this was a definite new barkada hangout.

We requested for their complementary bread basket. There was an issue regarding the vouchers. If you're not ordering anything else from the menu, they won't be serving you the bread basket. This comes with 2 dips, the salsa & the pate. I was never a fan of pate so I stuck with the salsa one. Verdict? Bread was soft and hot. Salsa was quite ordinary. Loved the bread sticks.

Getting ready to be twirled
The Spaghetti Marinara was quite simply a pasta with red tomato sauce and spaghetti noodles mixed with clams, squid rings and shrimps. It comes with 2 slices of garlic bread and a sprig of parsley.  We asked for parmesan to sprinkle on top and still, it was kinda bland.  Passing on this one. Will try the Carbonara on the next visit. Serving was good for 1-2 people only.

The voucher included a half-meter pizza and 4 iced teas. You can choose from either Hawaiian Pizza, Pizza Salciccia, or  Pizza Quattro Formaggio.

Pizza Quattro Formaggio
The choice was a no-brainer.  The 4-cheese pizza was huge, definitely for 4-5 people and the cheese... was to die for! Melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The smell alone will make your mouth water.  Don't get me started on the crust. Hand-tossed, no flour texture and no aftertaste. A stark contrast from the fast food pizza we are used to eating. A definite must-try!

Twice the FUN
To cap the night, we ordered the Cappuccino Tiramisu alla Kahlua. First thought, this was no ordinary dessert. Instead of the usual cake slice, this was placed in a bowl (like creme brulee) with the lady fingers looking like bunny ears.  It looked too delicate to eat. Honestly, this did not satisfy my sweet tooth. The mascarpone cheese base lacked the sweetness traditional desserts offer. Was not able to taste the coffee or kahlua.  Presentation-wise, it was unique. As for the taste, nothing special.
