Asian Fusion at Little Asia, The Venice Piazza Makati

Wanting to unwind after a stressful day, we decided to use our vouchers. We have never been to The Venice Piazza so this was a good time as any to try it out.

Little Asia, The Venice Piazza
At 7 in the evening on a weekday, I must say that the place was buzzing with activity. Unlike their Promenade branch, this one looks like a keeper, at least for now. We made reservations and expected to be seated right away, but alas this was no different from our J&Y experience.

We had to wait outside for 15 minutes. This was definitely not a good start.

After sweating bullets, we were finally called to our table.

Light fixtures with HUGE mirrors
Bubbles! :)

As you enter, you'll notice right away that this is different from the GH branch. With the super high ceiling and elaborate fixtures, this place up the ante a little bit. It was giving off a vibe of luxury and class. Kudos to that.

On to the food.

Of course, we ordered our staple Little Asia favorites.

One word of advice though, beware of arms. Yup, the servers here don't say excuse me. They just pop out of nowhere and begins to pile food on your table. Tsk tsk. This was strike two.

Shrimp Popcorn
As you can see, it's like little pieces of over popped popcorn. This was served hot which was a good thing. Even with the small shrimps used, you can taste it in every bite. Add the mango dip and yum... Verdict? Will always be one of our favs. :)

Little Asia's Crispy Chicken
Sauce
Rumor has it that their Crispy Fried Chicken tastes the same as Savory Chicken, being that the owners are related. The Little Asia Chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Verdict? The chickens may look the same but the taste can not be more different.

Pineapple Fried Rice
Initial reaction was, "Where's the pineapple? This should be in a pineapple boat"! The server told us that it was out of stock. A bit disappointing. As for the taste, the Pineapple Fried Rice was filled with different flavors (shrimps, green peas, ham, eggs, pineapple & veggies) and the different colors of each made for a colorful and tasty dish.

Boneless Tilapia with Honey Mayo Sauce
This was spoonfuls of YUM. The fish was cooked just right. The sauce kicks the dish up a notch, giving off a bit of a sour taste. Verdict? Will certainly be part of our next Little Asia eat out.

Chow Mein
This was our first time to order this one and sadly, we should've ordered 2 of this. Haha. :) Noodles + veggies + shrimps + squid + mushrooms combination = YUM. Recommendation? Add a bit of chili sauce for a blast of flavor. Thumbs up for this one!

In the end, the food did not disappoint. The staff though needs improvement. One more strike and they would've been out.

Would we come back? Yes but maybe not during the dinner rush crowd.
