Buffy-ed at Chuck's Deli, Serendra

Heard of this place from a friend who really enjoyed eating here (Thanks for the heads up, Joseph!). We were planning to try this out when this came out. Talk about luck! :)

Chuck's Deli, Serendra
Situated at the end of the Serendra rotunda, it's the one with the red shutters and glass windows. Looks homey from the outside.

Just Like In School
You'll notice that the whole restaurant is covered with blackboards, all in different shapes and sizes.  Written are their new dishes (adobo dobol, pastas, milkshakes) and their mechanics on how to join their Slay the Buffy. Oh and they have their Wall of Fame! Those who have successfully done the 5-min challenge.

Note to self: Gotta Slay The Buffy!

While waiting for our Slabwiches (yup that's a word), you'll love the adorable light fixture and their cake clock. Who says you can't make waiting fun? :) One gripe though, it's hot & stuffy inside with a full house.

Attention Management, the a/c needs work.

The Buffy Slabwich with Onion Rings
Each Slabwich is served on a mini chopping board with your choice of either onion rings or chips. Couldn't wait to try it out, I got one slice before taking a picture. Gasp! A rookie mistake, I know. This buffalo chicken slabwich is THE BOMB! The buffalo chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist in the inside. And the tangy spicy taste... absolutely perfect. The coarse texture of the Ciabatta bread really works well with everything. And the onion rings... big and crunchy. Suggestion? Dip it in the garlic sauce for that added kick in flavor.

Verdict? Deliciously Yummy! That's a double positive! :)

California Waki with Half-eaten Chips
Okay, I'll be honest I was a bit hesitant to try this out. California Maki on a bun... the idea was completely wacky! In the end, his prodding totally won out and I must say good thing too :) And to make it a truly healthy one, for an added fee we switched to Wheat Ciabatta bread. Verdict? A refreshing & light slabwich, perfect combination after the heavy & tangy Buffy. The sweet mangoes, kani (lots of it), egg, shredded lettuce and wasabi mayo was simple yet uncharacteristically good. Kudos! Enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks for the great service! :)

Overall, the prices are a bit steep for sandwiches but would gladly pay it for another food-gasm from Chuck's Deli. Will be back again before the week ends! ;p
