Done with work for the night, we decided to relax and unwind in one of the food haunts in Glorietta. Wanted something simple, light & no fuss dining so we ended up here.
Kenny Rogers Roasters, Glorietta |
Love the brick-style background of their signage. It gives off a home-y feel. Already knew what to order since back in our college days, we couldn't get enough of their Fiesta & Classic roasted chickens. :)
Counter Area |
With menus hanging at the back much like other fast food restaurants, we proceeded to line up and wait for our turn to order. Sad to hear that their only available chicken flavor was classic. :(
Wide selection of side dishes |
Kenny Rogers offers a wide array of side dishes to complete the meal. From hot ones (like corn muffin, rice and corn) to cold ones (salads & desserts). We chose our ultimate comfort food, mac & cheese! :)
Tables & chairs |
The brick wall design continued all throughout the entire place. Cream and brown seemed to be the restaurant's motif.
We didn't have to wait that long for our orders to arrive. Thumbs up for that.
Classic Chicken with Java Rice, Corn Muffin and Mac & Cheese |
Our Mac & Cheese! :) |
What can I say about the Classic Chicken? It was tender and juicy. Prefer it with gravy though.
My favorite was the Java Rice, I can even eat it on it's own! :) Love the red bits!
The Corn Muffin was... just okay. The texture was not crumbly and you can taste the corn flavor in every bite. His favorite so we ordered 1 box for take out.
Lastly, the Macaroni & Cheese. Creamy and cheesy, just the way we like it. But noticed that they no longer use elbow pastas. Not really a fan of the long noodle one.
We also had bottomless refills for our softdrinks.
Thanks for the service with a smile! :) |
Major gripe was that the serving portion seemed smaller than usual.
Overall, an okay dining experience.
Would we come back? Honestly, as long as they have their chicken promo, we'll order it for take out instead. :)
