Beef 'N Fish at Sizzlin' Pepper Steak, Glorietta 5

Coming from our usual Prestige Lounge hangout, our stomachs began rumbling (even with all the coffees and iced teas haha). After much discussion on where to eat, we decided to choose from one of the restaurants in Glorietta 5. It was a toss between Sbarro and Sizzlin' Pepper Steak... beef won out! :)

I know, the window bars are kinda distracting. No choice though, it gets in the way in every angle. Believe me, I tried.

Anyway enough about that, on to the review. :)
Open Air aka No Aircon Section
As you enter, you'll notice that it's quite cramped. The wooden tables & chairs are spaced almost next to each other, leaving little room to maneuver. Their open-air section is more spacious although you'll have to endure the "fresh air" from outside. We chose to sit indoors. :)

MOO!!
Even the food they serve here seems to have fun, just look at their Smiling Cow Logo.  Haha. The place is well-lit and the blue walls have a sort of calming effect to its patrons.

Before long, the whhhhrrrrrr sound echoed throughout the place. Don't be alarmed, just look up.  Their huge exhaust apparatus shaped like an inverted funnel is the likely suspect. The funny part? They switched ours on and off even before our food arrived. The staff here seems to have an itchy switch finger. :)

They serve their sizzling dishes with food guards, a paper covering to avoid food spillage. Totally cool right? One thing though, this makes it harder to flip the beef to cook the other side.

Sizzling Beef Pepper Steak
Teriyaki Sauce
As soon as the server placed the Sizzling Pepper Steak on our table, a familiar aroma soon filled the air. Surprised to see that the beef was not cut into smaller pieces, it looked more like long strings of meat circling the rice. Good thing the meat was tender. The pepper rice was made up of corn, spring onions, spoons of teriyaki sauce and of course black pepper. This works really well with the beef. Don't forget about the Teriyaki sauce. Ask for lots of it.

Fish N' Chips
Tartar Sauce
Definitely the dish we keep coming back for. The fish is cooked really well, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, in other words = PERFECT! :) It doesn't hurt that it comes with potato wedges on the side.

Here's how you eat it:
First, squeeze the lemon for that zesty kick.
Next, spoon in the tartar sauce.
Lastly, get ready for a scintillating food adventure.

Two thumbs up for this one! :)

So good, we had to order extra Pepper Rice!
