While perusing around the net for new restaurants to try out, stumbled upon this flyer. Pizza for dinner seemed to be inevitable. :)
Domino's Pizza, Pasong Tamo |
Talked to a certain Regina who was kinda helpful. The problem was that the Domino's website was not updated with the "new" prices. Yup, all prices posted had an increase of 50 pesos. Tsk tsk. You can hear in the background someone saying that "prices were subject to change". Excuse me, that explanation is usually reserved for flyers & pamphlets that restaurants give away. The reason behind this is that they no longer have the option of updating or changing the printed prices. But in the case of prices posted on official websites wherein you are able to change it anytime you want, that reason is invalid. Hay...
Disappointing start.
Blue Package |
After much ado, we ordered two 10" hand-tossed pizzas. Not wanting to wait 40 minutes for it (they did not honor their 30 mins guarantee), we had it picked up at their branch. The pizzas arrived in this bright blue box complete with a red bow. We slowly loosened the ribbon, excited for the goodies inside.
Extravaganzza |
Loaded with bits of pepperoni, ham, mushroom, beef, Italian sausage; we were in for some meat-y madness. Did I mention that it also had sliced onions, bell peppers, black olives & mozzarella cheese? Phew... just naming all the toppings made me full again :) FS Suggestion? Don't forget to load up on hot sauce. It adds that spicy kick that made this taste from ordinary to yummy.
Potato Pizza |
Can you say extreme? Big potato wedges atop each slice of pizza? And sweet corn? This was definitely something to try out. Honestly, it looked kinda weird. It's a mish-mash of unconventional toppings served to look like a pizza. But strangely enough, I liked it. The corn added a different texture with every bite while the lattice-like squirted mayonnaise added the yum factor. FS Suggestion? Make sure you eat it hot. The potatoes tastes dry and lumpy when cold.
In conclusion, Domino's was able to make us into returning customers. We'll be trying out their other pizza flavors soon. One thing though, you should definitely update your website. Up until now, the prices posted are the "old" prices. You alone are responsible in making sure your info are correct. Here's to hoping that the next time we order, you've done your part.
